Team games for a class

For a teacher with one screen or projector. Split the class into two, three or four teams named after periods of geologic time. The teams answer on paper or whiteboards, and you press who was right. Nobody types a name, and nothing is sent anywhere or kept after you close the page.

Choose a game Rock cycle race. Each right answer moves a team one step around the rock cycle, from magma through igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic rock. The first team back to magma wins. Weather balloon race. Each right answer lifts a team's balloon about 5 km, through the troposphere into the stratosphere. In this game the balloon bursts at 30 km, and the first team there wins. Climb the hill. Each right answer takes a team up one contour line, 20 m at a time. The first team on the summit, above the highest contour line, wins. Find it on the site. The first team to name the exam and the question number scores 2, and every team that then answers it right scores 1. Each team needs one phone or laptop, and teams look only for the exam and the number, without checking the answer. Table hunt. Each question needs the Reference Tables. How the teams answer Everyone answers. All teams answer each question; every team that is right scores. Take turns. One team says its choice and you press that choice number; the page says whether it is right. If it is wrong, the next team may try the same question.
